New Moon in the sign of Cancer on June 27, 2014 at 18:10 in Sydney, Australia

Tonight the new Moon cycle starts in the tender sign of Cancer inviting us to reflect on our family and our home. The Moon rules the sign of Cancer and influences our feelings and emotions. Under this intuitive and emotional sign we can set intentions to approach our loved ones and nurture them with our love.

Recognising what each member needs within the family will show us the small things we can do to show that we love them. But also, we must nurture our own feelings and for this reason it is important to tune into our emotions, our memories and make our home a place that gives us peace.

Under the union of the Luminaries the planet Neptune which is associated with spirituality forms a harmonic angle with both (Sun and Moon) from the sublime sign of Pisces. This harmony gives us the opportunity to heal any wounds that we have had in the past, to meditate and release and be closer with any of our loved ones. Also, under the New Moon today, we have formed the opposition between Mars in harmonious Libra and Uranus in pioneering Aries. This means we can initiate change but it needs to be through cooperation to achieve a balance. It is important not to take refuge protecting within ourselves but confront any situation in order to make progress.

Be inspired by the words of Keith L. Brooks. "A little girl, when asked where her home was, replied, where mother is" and find time to share with our family. For example: cooking a favourite recipe from our grandmother; sitting down in front of the television to watch a game of soccer or football with Dad; inviting Mum to go shopping or simply sharing something we like to do together ... Have a good weekend.
